I fell down a dirty, dirty internet rabbit hole looking at pictures of Juggalos on Tumblr, and lo and behold, who did I happen to find on “Look At This Fucking Juggalo”? The one and only Molly McAleer.

A lot of people are asking me what I think about Tila Tequila getting attacked by Juggalos at the Gathering. This is what I think. Yeah, yeah, beating up a woman (or anyone) is pretty shitty, but it’s obvious that Tila was being seriously disrespectful of what is considered to be a sacred experience for an entire subculture.
If I went to some person’s church as an honored guest and then spit in the holy water, I would expect a brick to get thrown in my face. Plus, this is like, the third time this year she’s gotten beat up and it’s made the news. The common denominator in all of those incidents is her. She shouldn’t leave the house. I mean, she’s a webcam girl or something, right? What’s the problem? Stay home.
I will say that I’m sad for the FAM right now. This is the kind of incident the press was looking for and they got it. The media and Internet love to paint Juggalos (ha) as particularly violent folks because of the themes in their music and jargon, but in actuality, there are huge fights at every music festival. We’re always hearing about performers getting things thrown at them on stage or fans getting rowdy. Remember when a bunch of non-Juggalos ruined Woodstock, for cryin’ out loud? WOODSTOCK. And remember when that chickenhead died during Pearl Jam’s set at a festival in Denmark a couple years ago?
Do you guys have any clue how violent Backstreet Boys fans were at the peak of their popularity? I had to block my face when I saw them on the Black & Blue tour and I was in box seats. I bet there’s at least a handful of people in their early 20s who are physically disabled because of something that happened to them at a Backstreet Boys show. That shit got violent. That’s what happens when you get any group of overly enthusiastic people together. Humans are animals.
IN SUMMATION: Tila, you’re a fake bitch and you had it coming. Don’t disrespect the FAM that feeds you. Juggalos, I love you, but next year y’all gotta show them that you’re different. Our society is in an unfortunate place where we pick and choose who it’s OK to discriminate against (although everyone will claim discrimination is unacceptable when asked outright), and at this moment in time, you are a prime target. That’s unfortunate, but the only thing you can do to change that is to be the best version of yourself at all times. Or, you know what? Or fuck ‘em all for needing you to prove yourself. Either way. I’m fine with anything you chose to do. I understand. I really, sincerely do.
